◊ Day 1 : Antananarivo

Arrival at Antananarivo airport and transfer to the hotel. Lunch. City tour on the afternoon. Visit of the Summer palace of Ambohimanga or according to the weather, excursion through the surroundings (historical and typical places). Dinner and overnight.

◊ Day 2 : Antananarivo / Antsirabe (165 km)
Drive to  Antsirabe (spa resort). Visit of Antsirabe typical landscapes (Betafo, rice fields, crater lakes…) and the city and a workshop where lapidary is made, by rickshaw or by car according to the weather. Dinner and overnight at the hotel.

◊ Day 3 : Antsirabe / Fianarantsoa (243 km)
Early morning visit drive to Fianarantsoa through the high plateau and rice field terraces. Lunch at Ambositra, renowned for its marquetery and precious woodcarving. Arrival at Fianarantsoa. Dinner and overnight. totem

◊ Day 4 : Fianarantsoa / Ranohira – Isalo (297 km)
Departure for Ranohira. Stop at Ambalavao village : visit the Antaimoro paper making center. Crossing the Horombe large steppe dividing the highlands of the Southern desert regions. Dinner and overnight at Le Relais de la Reine.

◊ Day 5 : Ranohira / Isalo
A full day at leisure to visit the Isalo Massif . Discover the extraordinary landscapes, especially the outcomes of an erosion sculpting the granit and sandstone witch give a supernatural impression. Dinner and overnight.


◊ Day 6 : Isalo / Tulear (244 km) Ifaty (20km)
Morning at leisure. Drive to Tulear after lunch time. First pics of Southern Madagascar and the Mahafaly tombs. Crossing Tulear and drive to Ifaty. Dinner and overnight at Le Paradisier hotel.

◊ Day 7 : Ifaty
Stay at leisure by the lagoon. (Beach,  diving, deep-sea diving, game fishing, sailing excursions…) Dinner and overnight.


◊ Day 8 : Ifaty – Tulear / Antananarivo
Transfer in the morning to Tulear airport and flight to Antananarivo.
Meet and assistance for international flight or transfer to the hotel.

945 km terrestrial distance covered of asphalt road, except between Ihosy and Ranohira.
The tour is made by 4x4 or 6/8 seats minibus or by bus with local Tour Leader.
Foresee wollen article for evenings, rain-coat and hiking shoes for reserve visits.
Good physical conditions for Isalo park. Sunlight cream and insects protection. Anti  paludal treatment.
